“ This is my absolute favorite thai food in Portland. I always go to the Lents Woodstock food cart location, I've tried their sit down restaurant and it didn't compare. The food is so delicious, especially papaya salad and tom kha soup. I come here so often with my boyfriend that they recognize us and always treat us so nicely. I don't know why they don't have more stars!! Definitely give this place a try. ”
“ We've had food from here before and were happy so continue to put them in the rotation. They have a pretty wide selection of menu items to choose from, including lots of apps. I feel like you can't go wrong, just depends on what you're in the mood for. Typically I'd want a noodle dish, but their fried rice and such is so tasty I can be perfectly happy even without my noodles. It's also nice to choose spice levels since I'm more on the mild side and my partner is spicier, so we can meet in the middle. That way he gets a little bit of what he wants and I'm still able to eat some too. Good portions for the price as well. We'll continue to order from them. ”
“ Best deal and taste in the area! Our go to place for years. You'll like the hall that you can sit in. ”
“ this place is amazing! food is amazing and so are the people working there. Went here for my school food culture field trip and was immediately happy. Would and probably will come again. highly recommend ”
“ My favorite Thai food! I wish they would come back to Happy Valley so they were closer to me! ”
“ I come here all the time- for years- and have never been disappointed!! The service is quick and perfectly nice. The food is always incredible! Definitely one of my & my family's favorite places to eat. Great prices, reliable quality, nice employees ”
“ This is my go-to for pad thai! (and extra peanut sauce!) Not just because they make great pad thai but because this truck of theirs is at Flipside Bar so I can get my food and then take inside the super cool bar for a drink. Food trucks outside a big, modern sports bar is a fabulous idea and so I have taken many friends here to hang out. The last time I ate here - I called in my order - which was perfect because it was piping hot and ready when I arrived. It was exactly what the hangover doctor ordered and went well with the Boneyard ale I ordered in the bar! Next time I'm thinking the pear mule will be even better with my spicy pad thai - which I doctor up with all their yummy spicy sauces that you serve yourself. By the time I am done, it's almost like soup. You must try E-san at any of their locations - but IMO, this one is the coolest because of the bar-restaurant attached (I call it a bar but it is family friendly) ”
“ The firs time I tried E-San was some time in the early 2000s at the downtown location. Well, now that the rioters have destroyed everything downtown, you are going to just have to visit their food cart version in SE off of Foster. My friend recommended this place to us, and I was not disappointed. I know the Thai sausage fried rice sounds pretty plain, but trust me--it is da bomb! This dish also goes well with the "sleeping prawns" (fried shrimp) and any of the standard curry and/or noodle thai dishes of your choice. Friendly service too and easy to navigate menu. ”
“ We've come here for take out a couple times and we've been satisfied with the orders. We beat the rush so service was quick. Our dishes came out hot and tasty as expected. Spicy Beef salad is fire and hit the spot. Good portion for one. Chicken pad se ew is delish too and you just might devour it all in one sitting or share if you wish. If you're looking for a good thai place to dine in or take out this is the place to go! ”
“ Some of the best, If not the BEST, Thai food truck in Portland. It's tucked behind Flipside bar in Southeast Portland--truly a hidden gem. The flavor of the pad ki mao is spot on and the noodles are always cooked perfectly. Some Thai food places are way too sweet, but this one is perfect. The flavor is perfect. The curries are not as thick in consistency here, it might just be the style. It's more like a soup. But the flavor is wonderful. However, if there is one thing I think could be improved, I'd prefer a curries. Overall great work ”
